Best Bartenders for Your Wedding in Amarillo
How to Choose the Best Wedding Bartender in Amarillo
Three bartending companies we trust, how many you actually need, and the part we handle for you.
If you're looking for the best bartenders for your wedding in Amarillo, these are the three we send our own couples to: Sips and Giggles, Barrel & Lace, and Parties Plus.
These aren't just names we found online. We've worked alongside all three right here, at real weddings, and we've watched how they treat guests when the line is long and the dance floor is full. That's the whole recommendation. They show up, they're good at it, and we trust them with our couples.

Is a Wedding Bartender Worth It?
Yes. A real bartender makes a wedding feel upscale. Your guests walk up to a set bar, get a drink made by someone who knows what they're doing, and get right back to the party.
A professional also handles the alcohol service for you. They watch the bar, help keep your guests safe, and can show proof of their insurance. Your family gets to enjoy the night instead of running drinks.
How Many Bartenders Do You Need for Your Wedding?
This is the question we hear most, and it's the one couples get wrong. One bartender for 300 people is not enough. Not even close.
Lyn at Parties Plus, who has been in business for 22 years, recommends about one bartender for every 75 guests. She's clear that it's a guideline, not a hard rule. Here's what that looks like:
100 guests: about 2 bartenders
200 guests: about 3 bartenders
300 guests: about 4 bartenders
It can change depending on what you're serving, so ask your bartender what they'd send for your count. A good one will tell you straight, even if it means a bigger quote.
Where the Bar Sets Up at Cornerstone
Your bartender has a few options here. Most set up behind our bar inside the venue. When the weather's nice, we sometimes turn the Silo into a second bar for the evening. And all three of our bartenders have brought out their own setups, like Sips and Giggles' horse trailer or a mobile bar.

What We Handle So You Don't Have To
Two things brides usually chase down on their own. At Cornerstone, you don't.
Security officers. Anytime alcohol is served, we set up the officers and add them to your package. You never have to call anyone. They're Potter County Sheriff's officers, and they're the same 5–6 officers we've had since we opened. They're here for one reason: to make sure everyone gets home safe.
Bartender Insurance. All three bartenders we recommend carry insurance, and we've already seen their documentation, so there's no hunting down paperwork two weeks before your wedding.
Wedding Liability Insurance. Your bartender's insurance and your own wedding event insurance are two different things. A bartender's policy covers certain risks related to their business and services, while a separate wedding liability policy can provide additional protection for you as the event host.
We always recommend considering a day-of wedding liability insurance policy for extra peace of mind, especially when alcohol is served. Be sure to check whether the policy includes host liquor liability coverage. You can explore coverage options through EventGuard's wedding insurance page for Cornerstone Ranch.

Hiring a Bartender Who Isn't on Our List
You're welcome to go outside these three. Just ask two things first. Do they carry insurance? And do they have enough staff for the size of your wedding?

How many bartenders do I need for a 200-person wedding?
About three. At 300 guests, plan on about four. One bartender for 300 people is not enough.
Is a wedding bartender worth it?
Yes. A professional bartender makes the bar feel upscale, keeps the line moving, and handles the alcohol service so your family can enjoy the night.
Do I need security officers if we're serving alcohol?
At Cornerstone, yes, and we handle it. We set up Potter County Sheriff's officers and add them to your package anytime alcohol is served.
Do your recommended bartenders carry insurance?
Yes. All three carry insurance, and we've already seen it. We still tell every bride it's good peace of mind to buy a day-of liability policy as another level of protection. Ask your agent whether it includes host liquor liability coverage.
Can you have a mobile bar at a wedding in Amarillo?
Yes. At Cornerstone Ranch Event Center, we've welcomed mobile bar setups, including Sips and Giggles' horse trailer by our windmill. Couples can also use our bar inside the venue, and on nice evenings the Silo can serve as a second bar.
Can I hire a bartender who isn't on your list?
Yes, but we need to see license and insurance prior to you booking with them. Make sure they carry insurance and have enough staff for your guest count.
Pour Something Good
The bar is where your guests end up between every big moment. The toast, the first dance, the Grand March. Hire people who are good at it, put enough of them back there, and let us handle the rest.

About Cornerstone Ranch Event Center
Cornerstone Ranch Event Center is a locally owned and operated wedding and event venue just west of Amarillo, Texas. We've been helping couples celebrate here since 2014, and after more than a decade of weddings, we've learned that good wedding planning is about much more than choosing pretty details. It's about knowing what works in real weddings, asking the right questions, planning for West Texas weather, taking care of your guests, and creating a day that actually flows.
That's why we write these wedding planning guides. Our goal is to share what we've learned from years of hosting Amarillo-area weddings and give couples practical information they can actually use — whether they ultimately choose Cornerstone Ranch or another venue in the Texas Panhandle.
Our venue offers over 10,000 square feet of climate-controlled indoor space, indoor and outdoor options, flexible layouts for celebrations both large and small, and room for up to 500 guests. We're family owned, continually improving the property, and proud to serve couples from Amarillo, Canyon, Bushland, the Texas Panhandle and beyond.
We regularly review and update our wedding planning articles as information, pricing, venue features and local resources change.
