Cornerstone Ranch Events Center sits just seven miles west of Amarillo off I-40 along historic Route 66. It's close enough for convenience, but far enough away that you feel like you've escaped the city and stepped into something peaceful.

What to Look for When Choosing a Wedding Venue Along Route 66

With new venues popping up around Amarillo and along Route 66, we're excited to see so many couples have more options than ever. But before you sign on the dotted line, there are a few questions we'd encourage every couple to ask.

How many weddings have they actually hosted?

There's a big difference between beautiful renderings and hundreds of real wedding days. Your wedding shouldn't be someone's practice run. Ask to see real weddings. Real couples. Real dance floors. Real memories.

Are all the spaces complete and ready right now?

Bridal suite. Groom's room. Indoor ceremony option. Reception hall. Outdoor ceremony site. You should be able to walk through everything you'll actually use on your wedding day.

What happens if the weather changes?

Let's be honest. This is West Texas. We can have sunshine, wind, and rain all in the same day. Ask what happens if you need to move inside. A good venue shouldn't require flipping the reception room or scrambling at the last minute.

Why We've Called Route 66 Home Since 2014

Since 2014, we've welcomed hundreds of Amarillo couples and thousands of guests through our doors. Over the years we've added a few things along the way—a Silo Patio, Par-Tee mini golf, a fenced backyard, a full décor room, beautiful ceremony grounds, and yes, even Texas Whataburger Late Night Bites.

But the things people remember most haven't changed.

The sunsets.

The packed dance floors.

The laughter.

The hugs.

The grandparents.

The people.

And maybe that old windmill catching the last bit of sunlight before everyone heads inside to celebrate.

That's what makes this place special to us.
